Innovative learning curriculum based on The Pyramid Program
FIO360 had spent more than a year examining leading curriculum programs before finding the ideal curriculum for our learning environment. Developed by Dr. Jef Van Kuyk, the critically-acclaimed Pyramid program is used to educate children in the Netherlands (one of the world’s most literate countries), Germany, Japan, India and is currently being developed for use in the United States. This innovative preschool curriculum is raising the bar for both teachers and children.
Pyramid’s foundation marries the exciting new research findings of today to the sound educational theories of the past. The starting point for the Pyramid method is the understanding that young children are vulnerable and need to feel secure and supported as they learn to manage daily tasks. At the same time, they need stimulation and encouragement to take risks and develop autonomy and competence. The teacher’s role is to balance these needs in a way that allows each child to move successfully towards independence and higher levels of learning.
Teachers are trained and empowered to use a four-step process to take children from basic understanding to more complex problem solving. Assessments are comprehensive and focused on the individual development of each child, based on a range for the child’s age. Specific information is compiled and each child’s progress is monitored and measured by collecting data and samples of their work.
The result: Pyramid provides for rich, creative play; stimulating, independent learning; cooperative project work; and goal-oriented concept and skill development.
Pyramid meets the highest national standards for early care and education, and FIO360 is excited to be one of the first early learning centers in the U.S. to offer the program.

It’s no secret that a child care experience is only as good as the caregivers involved. Whole educators and caregivers are critical to helping develop whole children. So, one of FIO360’s top priorities is to find, retain and develop the best caregivers.
That means we’re putting together an impressive pay and benefits package for the FIO360 team. We’re also incorporating ongoing, intentional personal and professional development opportunities that will cultivate a team of individuals—from the receptionist in the lobby to the executive director of the facility—who are challenged and empowered in their everyday work.
